Nickelodeon Boo at the Zoo is on at the Auckland Zoo on October 31st 2009 to celebrate Halloween and to get you in the spirit I've posted some photos here from last year's Boo at the Zoo.

Ronald McDonald
Ronald McDonald was there with his show and we managed to get a photo inbetween shows. Pictured below is my son Jamie, dressed as Batman, my wife Jane, and Jamie's friend Christina who was dressed as a witch. Nice cheesy smile there from Ronald.
Dora the Explorer
There were a few Nickelodean characters around including Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star. In the photo below Jamie's trying to see if he can get something out of Dora's backpack.
Stilt Walking Insects
There were a few stilt walking insects walking about the place - that's the funny green thing on the right side in the photo below. After taking this photo the stilt walker chased Jamie which gave him a bit of a fright but it was pretty funny for the parents.
The Black Rose Pirate Ship
Captain Billy Blackboots and The Black Rose were there as well. You can read more about the parties etc that the Black Rose does here in their directory listing and here in our blog entry about them.
This year's event
I'll be there again this year just with Jamie on my own this year, and will take some more photos. We became "friends of the zoo" this year which got us 20% off the normal price for the Boo at the Zoo.
