Jamie finishes the Half Marathon with Dad

I ran a half marathon in the Auckland Domain on Sunday and although it was my slowest half marathon ever the end was fun when Jamie ran the last 100 metres with me as shown in the video clip below.
If you are a runner it can be a fun thing for your kids to come along and watch and join in at the end if it's not too busy an event. Jamie's at the age now (almost 4.5) where he can actually come along to something like this and have fun with Mum while I'm running and not be too bored.
As we pass the camera I say to him "Are you going to win? There's the finish line there. Come on" because he's always wanting to "win" when we're going anywhere and get there first.
