Snowplanet September/October 2009 School Holidays Programme

snowplanetSnowplanet's school holiday programme for the September and October 2009 school holidays has 2-hour lessons each day for 5 days.

From their brochure:

"Experience on the mountain shows that students achieve a steeper learning curve in a 2-hour lesson as opposed to a 45 minute lesson. So to get you out on the snow, showing off your stuff quicker than ever before, our great value 5 day school holiday programme has 2-hour lessons instead of 45 minute lessons! Included in these lessons will be a 15 minute break to warm up before the kids go back out into the snow and show their new skills.

"For all the snow lovers out there our school holiday programme includes 5 consecutive days of snow, rental equipment, and lessons - skiing or snowboarding two hours each day for $279.00 per child! PLEASE NOTE THAT CLOTHING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS PRICE.

"And, as an added bonus, all the kids have a celebratory lunch together on the last day, where certificates will be given to each student by their instructor.

"The student to instructor ratio is planned to be 1 instructor to 6 kids for the 5 to 6 year old programme and 1 instructor to 8 kids for the 7 to 12 year old programme.

"For the first time, we are doing all the lessons at the same time, no matter what their age or ability. Each child will be put into their relevant age groups and ability. On the first day, all the instructors will assess the children in their group and if they feel that the child needs to be moved to a different group, this will be done. After day one, all children will be placed in the appropriate group for the rest of the week."
