The Otago Museum in Dunedin
The Otago Museum in Dunedin is the largest cultural and heritage institution in Otago and has a collection of over two million natural science specimens and human history artefacts. It is Dunedin's most visited attraction, currently welcoming over 300,000 visitors per year.
Entry to the museum is free although donations are encouraged. Some exhibitions incur a small charge. The museum is open every day except for Christmas Day from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
