Staglands Wildlife Reserve allows people of all ages to feed and freely interact with birds and animals in the Akatarawa Valley in Upper Hutt.

The wildlife reserve is a great place for school visits/activities, picnics, BBQs or if you are looking for things to do in Wellington with your family and friends that's different from animal farm parks or zoos.
Their barn and cafe are available for functions and events including children's birthday parties, school visits or other special occasions.
The wildlife park is open every day from 10.00am to 5.00pm except for Christmas Day, and the café from 10:00am to 4:30pm.
