The Stardome Observatory and Planetarium in Auckland
The Stardome Observatory and Planetarium in Auckland has a 360° digital dome theatre featuring 3,500 stars, delivered by digital technology and surround sound; and a 0.5m Zeiss telescope for viewing the stars, the latter from around 9:15pm daily.

The Stardome website contains a lot of information about the stars including upcoming astro events; star charts; and a free planetarium programs you can download and run from your computer.
They also have school holiday programmes; we will update this listing when details about the September/October 2009 school holidays are available.
