Te Manawa Museum Gallery Science Centre
Te Manawa in Palmerston North unites a museum, art gallery and interactive science centre. Te Manawa offers school holiday and education programmes and a variety of events and public programmes.
General Information
Their exhibitions explore the past; seek to inform today and pose questions about tomorrow. They host international touring shows and home grown exhibits that celebrate the joys and challenges of provincial life These are supported by education programmes, special events, performances and workshops.
Te Manawa is a store house of regionally and nationally important collections of Taonga Maori, New Zealand contemporary art, social and natural history.
Opening Hours
Te Manawa Museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm every day including weekends and public holidays, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Good Friday when it is closed.
Admission Prices
Admission to the Life and Art Galleries is free.
Kid's Own and Mirror Magic has free admission until 24 December 2009.

- $20 Family (2 Adults & up to 2 Children)

Birthday Parties
Te Manawa can be used as a party venue for children's birthdays. They have packages available for $15 or $20 per child (prices accurate as at October 10th 2009) with a party room and access to the galleries. Party themes available are bubbles, dinosaur and roamer robots.
